Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m a firm believer in the benefit of a vibe check. I do offer free consultations, and actually prefer meeting with prospective clients this way before scheduling an intake.

If I’m not the right fit for you, or if I’m not confident that I have the clinical expertise you need, I’m happy to provide you with other resources and referrals.

  • My self-pay rate without insurance is $200 per intake session, and $185 per regular 60-minute session. I can also provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement if applicable.

I recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network coverage.

  • I am in network with the following commercial insurance plans: Aetna, Ambetter, CareSource, Cigna, Medical Mutual, Oscar Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare.

I am also in network with the following Medicaid Managed Care and Medicare plans: Buckeye, CareSource, Medicare Part B, UnitedHealthcare, and Wellcare.

  • When possible, I do offer a limited number of reduced rate sessions for individuals who cannot afford the full self-pay rate for therapy. This rate is agreed upon between a client and me on a case-by-case basis. I do not have an income requirement for reduced rate sessions as I recognize that income alone does not determine if a person has the resources to pay for therapy. Please don’t be afraid to ask about a reduced rate agreement if doing so would make therapy accessible for you! I cannot promise that I can accommodate your request, but I will do my best to make working together possible when I’m able.

Due to the limited number of reduced rate sessions I can offer at this time, I do give priority to clients who are part of groups often with historical difficulty in accessing therapy services. This may include:

    • Transgender, gender-expansive, and/or non-binary individuals

    • BIPOC identified individuals

    • LGBTQIA+ identified individuals

    • Under or uninsured individuals

  • Online payment available with all major credit cards or HSA/FSA cards.

  • I am currently only licensed to offer care to folks living anywhere within the state of Ohio. If you are looking for LGBTQIA+ competent care as an out of state resident, I would be happy to try to connect you with resources as I'm able.

  • I have over thirteen years of experience working in an ambulatory hospital setting, as well as a community-based HIV/AIDS service agency before moving into private practice. If you’re a social worker in Ohio who would be interested in chatting about possible supervision or consultation, please reach out to me directly - I would love to discuss what this could look like!
